L-carnosine is a 100% natural substance manufactured by our body and composed of the amino acids alanine and histidine. The muscle mass, the brain, the heart, the kidneys and the liver are where L-carnosine is found in greater quantity within our body.

Consuming meat is our main dietary source of carnosine. After being ingested, carnosine is absorbed in the small intestine, where it is transported through the bloodstream to different parts of the body.

L-carnosine levels decrease over the years and with a low-meat diet.
