As early as 400 B.C. cacao was cultivated by the Mayans and Aztecs. At that time, the prized seed was reserved for the nobility and was only served on special occasions. Today, cocoa is primarily known as an ingredient in sweetened chocolate, although many people don't even know what cocoa actually tastes like.

Our cocoa nibs are obtained from the finest dried cocoa beans, peeled and ground into small pieces, grown in Peru in a controlled, fair and socially responsible way. Neither alkalized nor roasted, without additives or sugar, you can enjoy the natural, intensely bittersweet, unadulterated flavor of pure, raw cocoa. It is characterized by low acidity and bitterness and is reminiscent of dark chocolate.

Cocoa nibs can be chewed on their own and can also be added to desserts, cakes, mueslis and smoothies.
