Soy lecithin is a natural substance extracted from soybean oil.

Soy lecithin is very rich in high quality phospholipids and is colloquially known as lecithin. Phospholipids are essential and functional components of biological membranes and are present in each and every one of the cells of our body.

It also contains a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids, especially from the range of polyunsaturates, a fact to be taken into account in conscious diets in the care of cholesterol levels.

Soy lecithin is also a natural source of choline, an essential nutrient involved in a wide variety of functions:
  • Contributes positively to the normal metabolism of homocysteine.
  • It is an important compound in the formation of cell membranes.
  • Contributes to the normal functioning of lipid metabolism.
  • It is a very important nutrient to maintain an adequate liver function.
  • It is a precursor to acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter involved in memory, among many other functions.
Soy lecithin is a supplement that can help meet the needs of choline, especially in vegetarians, athletes, the elderly and growing season (over 4 years).
