Ayurveda tradition
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera), better known as Indian ginseng, is a widespread plant of the Solanaceae family. Literally, the word Ashwagandha means "horse aroma" and is especially known in India, where the use of the plant has a long tradition. Due to its diverse properties, Ashwagandha plays an important role as a complementary food for centuries.
Today, Ashwagandha is one of the best studied plants, with special attention to its content in withanolides, secondary phytochemicals of ashwagandha.
Each capsule of Ashwagandha contains 500 mg of ashwagandha extract with 7% standardized content of withanolides.
